Wooburn Park Pavilion Extension
and Refurbishment
|
|
An extensive refurbishment of Wooburn Park pavilion
is currently under way, and all being well, the
club should have a much improved facility to move
into ahead of the 2012 season. The main features
of the works are an extension of the building line
out to the edge of the front step significantly
increasing the internal space, a new pitched roof,
an indoor ladies toilet, a storage building around
the back (in place of the garage, which will be
knocked down), electric shutters at the front and
extensive refurbishment and decoration inside.

ECB Clubmark Accreditation Achieved
|
After 18 months of hard work, Clubmark accreditation
was achieved in August 2011. This is a major step
forward for the club and officially declares that
we are a child friendly club, operating to the guidelines
laid down by the ECB. All coaches are now qualified
and CRB checked, as are regular helpers, and the
club has policies in place to cover all aspects
of our duty of care while juniors are involved in
club activities. We hope Clubmark will make us a
more attractive club to prospective new members,
as well as opening up funding opportunities to allowing
us to continue to improve our facilities.

Junior Cricket - Plans for Summer
2012, New Members Welcome!
|
In the summer of 2012, we are planning to run teams
in the Bucks Leagues at all age groups, from U10
through to U17, with soft ball Kwik cricket for
younger age groups. Outdoor coaching at Wooburn
Park starts on Sunday 29th April.
The junior section of the club continues to go
from strength to strength with membership having
nearly doubled over the last three years. With a
growing number of ECB qualified coaches, we aim
to provide quality coaching in a playing and social
environment that allows our young players to improve
and grow as cricketers and individuals.
New members are always welcome. Visit our Junior
Cricket pages for more information. If you are interested
in joining, please contact us at juniorcricket@wncc.co.uk.
We respond promptly to all enquiries.
